We are truly gratified by the overwhelming positive
response to our new wines and urge you to come taste them. All three wines will

Crimes
Against Vines, released in late June, was a real labor of
love, as it was the first of our wines to have come from our very own Marquette
grape vines on the property. This tasty
blend of Cabernet Franc and Marquette grapes, sweetened with Door County
cherries, explodes with flavors of raspberry, dark plum, cherry and chocolate,
and finishes with a hint of vanilla. Based on what you’ve been telling us, it’s
a crime to not absolutely love this wine!
Early July brought Over the Falls, made from the oh, so sweet Niagara grape. Fresh and fruity from start to finish, this
new wine has already become one of our best sellers.
The last of our new wines, Two Rows Make a White, premiered in late July and was an instant
hit with our visitors during the hot summer here in Door County. The yin and yang blend of tart and tropical
Vidal Blanc, and sweetly spicy Gewürztraminer grapes both refresh and tantalize
the taste buds.
Hey, we’re just getting started!
In early 2017 Harbor Ridge Winery, will be releasing our
first Premium Select Wine. How is
this different from the rest of our wonderful wines? Simply put, a Premium Select Wine is one that
comes from an exceptional harvest of a specific varietal, aged in either our
hybrid French/ American or Italian Garbelletto oak barrels for at least two
years then bottled and stored several months before serving. Once it is uncorked the end result is a
superior quality wine well worth the wait!
Since each grape varietal is unique, each of
our Premium Select Wines is distinctively different in the way it is crafted
and in flavor. All Premium Select wines will
always be available in limited quantities.
The first to premiere will be the Harbor Ridge 2013 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. We’ll
fill you in on a secret: it is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! 2013 was a banner year for Napa Cabernet
Sauvignon grapes, and we aged this sumptuous red for thirty months in our
French/American barrels. We’ll let you
know when it is available for tasting and purchase, so make sure you hightail
it over to the winery or our website when it’s officially available for
sale.
Next up will be our very first Port style wine
made from our own Marquette Grapes, “The
Harbor “. If history is any judge, like the rest of our fine wines, The
Harbor will be yet another
winner. Stay tuned.
Lastly, we’ll be adding a new, highly anticipated semi-dry Rose` to our “fun label” line
up sometime in the summer of 2017.
